When Losal Gyamtso was young his mother got very sick. His family sold their entire livestock for his mother's health care expenses. Unfortunately, his mother did not improve and her health got worse every day. Eventually her illness resulted in her passing away. After that, his family deteriorated into extreme poverty and it became difficult to survive. Consequently, he entered Sengdruk Taktse School.
