Kalzang Norbu and Kalzang Namgyal are from Derge in Sichuan Provence (Kham). These two students have no father or mother. The mother was killed in an avalanche while she was looking after her yak and sheep. Their father fell off the back of a truck and died. Because of these reasons, they entered the school.
